A few years ago, I started paying much closer attention to my health.

Not because I was trying to look younger.

Not because I wanted to chase every new wellness trend.

I simply want to age as well as I can.

I’m over 50 years old, and my goal isn’t to look 30 again. My goal is to stay active, independent, mentally sharp, and healthy enough to enjoy life for as long as possible.

That journey has led me down a fascinating path. I’ve invested in comprehensive genetic testing through 10X Health to better understand how my body works. I track my sleep every night. I focus on movement, recovery, nutrition, stress management, and finding products that actually fit into my daily routine.

Over the years, I’ve tested hundreds of wellness products as a content creator. Most don’t become permanent parts of my life.

The ones below did.

This page isn’t a list of the newest wellness gadgets. It’s a collection of the products I genuinely use almost every single day.

I’ll continue updating this article as my routine evolves.

My Philosophy

One thing I’ve learned is that there is no miracle supplement.

No device is going to make you live forever.

No magic pill exists.

Longevity is built on consistency.

Sleep.

Movement.

Nutrition.

Strength.

Stress management.

The products below simply help support those habits.

Some of them I purchased myself.

Some were sent to me to review.

Every single one earned a permanent place in my routine before I decided to recommend it.

1. Oura Ring – The First Thing I Check Every Morning

Discount: Save 10% here

If I had to keep only one piece of wearable technology, it would probably be my Oura Ring.

Every single morning, before I even get out of bed, I open the Oura app.

The first thing I look at is my Sleep Score because it sets the tone for my day. If I slept poorly, I know I need to adjust my expectations instead of trying to push through exhaustion.

Not gonna be a good day :I

I also check:

  • Readiness Score
  • Heart Rate
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
  • Physiological Stress

One feature that really caught my attention is Heart Age.

I’ll admit, it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to see. Mine was older than my actual age.

Instead of discouraging me, it motivated me.

It reminded me that I need to move more, improve my cardiovascular fitness, and continue investing in my health.

For me, Oura isn’t about collecting data.

It’s about making better decisions every day.

2. Bionic Gym – Cardio Without Traditional Cardio

Use code JODY10 for 10% off

One of the newest additions to my wellness routine is the Bionic Gym.

It uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to activate your muscles and raise your heart rate, so I was curious to see how my body would respond over time.

At the lower settings, I only saw a small increase in my heart rate. But as I gradually increased the intensity, my heart rate reached around 115 beats per minute, and both my Fitbit and Oura Ring began recognizing the sessions as exercise.

I’ve now been using it consistently for about an hour a day. During that time, I’ve also lost about four pounds. I can’t say what role the Bionic Gym played specifically, since it’s just one part of my overall routine, but I’ve enjoyed tracking the data and seeing how my body responds.

For me, it’s become another tool I can use to add movement on days when I don’t want to spend another hour doing traditional exercise.

3. JOVS 4D Laser Light Therapy Mask

Use code JODY to save $160

I’ve used several red light therapy devices over the years.

The JOVS mask has become part of my regular skincare routine.

The biggest improvements I’ve noticed are:

  • smoother skin texture
  • brighter complexion
  • healthier-looking glow

Consistency has been the key.

Like almost everything related to longevity, the benefits build over time.

4. BioLogic Mini

Save 10% with code JODY10

This may be the most unique product on my list.

When I first heard the phrase “probiotics for the air,” I honestly had questions.

Now it’s become part of my everyday routine.

One of the reasons I like it so much is its portability.

Throughout the day I move it wherever I’m spending time.

  • my office
  • living room
  • kitchen while cooking
  • bedroom while I sleep
  • even my car

It’s rechargeable, automatically cycles throughout the day, and requires very little maintenance besides replacing the probiotic cartridge when needed.

I like products that quietly do their job without requiring me to think about them.

5. Echo Hydrogen Water

Use code MUAYTHAIJODY10

Hydration has become much more important to me over the past few years.

I use the Echo Hydrogen Water machine every day because drinking enough water is one of the simplest habits I can build.

Whether the additional hydrogen offers benefits beyond hydration is something I continue reading about, but I enjoy using it and it’s become part of my routine.

6. My Rebounder

I love my BCAN rebounder because it’s easy.

I can bounce while watching television or listening to a podcast.

It’s low-impact, fun, and an easy way to increase movement throughout the day.

As we get older, maintaining bone health and staying active become even more important.

7. My Recumbent Bike

Some workouts don’t have to be intense.

I often use my Merach recumbent bike while watching Netflix or YouTube.

It’s comfortable, joint-friendly, and makes it much easier to accumulate more Zone 2 cardio without dreading the workout.

8. Vesalix Advanced Digestive Complex

Digestive health influences so much more than people realize.

I take Vesalix Advanced Digestive Complex because it combines digestive enzymes with prebiotics, postbiotics, and probiotics to help support healthy digestion.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become much more interested in supporting gut health rather than waiting until something feels wrong.

9. Vesalix Liver Support

This Liver Support supplement combines ingredients like milk thistle, artichoke, digestive enzymes, and Solarplast®.

I include it as part of my overall wellness routine because I believe taking care of your body isn’t just about exercise – it’s also about supporting the systems working behind the scenes.

10. Timeline

I’ve been taking Timeline’s Mitopure® for about six months.

Can I point to one dramatic change?

Not really.

What I can say is that I simply feel better overall.

More energetic.

More consistent.

Sometimes the biggest improvements aren’t dramatic – they’re subtle and steady.

Timeline focuses on supporting mitochondrial health, which plays an important role in healthy aging and muscle function.

11. 10X Health Methylene Blue

Brain health has become one of my biggest priorities.

After learning more about methylene blue and its potential role in supporting mitochondrial function and cognitive health, I decided to incorporate it into my routine.

I don’t drink caffeine, so I’m always interested in healthy ways to support energy and mental clarity.

This is one of the newer additions to my routine, and I’m continuing to learn more as I go.

The Value of Genetic Testing

One of the biggest turning points in my health journey wasn’t a supplement or a gadget—it was getting a comprehensive genetic analysis through 10X Health.

My results gave me personalized insights into areas like methylation, inflammation, detoxification, nutrient processing, and how my body may respond to exercise and recovery. Rather than guessing which wellness trends might apply to me, I could make more informed decisions based on my own biology.

Genetics aren’t destiny, but they can provide valuable information. For me, the testing helped shape the routine I’m building today.

What I DON’T Do

I don’t chase every new wellness trend.

I don’t believe one supplement is going to make me live forever.

I don’t think expensive gadgets replace healthy habits.

My routine is built on five pillars:

✔ Prioritizing sleep

✔ Moving every day

✔ Building strength

✔ Eating nutritious foods

✔ Managing stress

Everything else supports those foundations.

Final Thoughts

Longevity isn’t about trying to become a different person.

It’s about giving your future self the best chance possible.

Every walk.

Every good night’s sleep.

Every healthy meal.

Every workout.

Every small habit adds up.

The products in this article have earned a permanent place in my daily routine because they’ve helped me stay consistent—not because they’re magic.

As I continue learning, testing new products, and refining my routine, I’ll keep updating this page so it always reflects what I’m actually using.

Because that’s what this website is all about: sharing what’s genuinely working for me in hopes that it might help you on your own healthy aging journey.

How I Started Paying Attention to My Health (And What Actually Changed)

How I Started Paying Attention to My Health (And What Actually Changed)

[Some links may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them (at no extra cost to you).]

This post is all about how I used genetic testing, micronutrient testing, and a more personalized supplement routine to better understand my health and improve my energy.

I feel like there’s been this shift lately where I’m paying a lot more attention to my health, but not in an overwhelming way… more in a what actually matters kind of way.

For a long time, I was just taking supplements because I thought I “should.”

Multivitamins, extra vitamins, things I saw online…

But I never really knew what my body actually needed.

So I decided to look into it a little deeper.

What I Learned From Genetic Testing and Micronutrient Bloodwork

I started with genetic testing through 10X Health System to understand how my body processes certain nutrients.

And I did have some areas where my body needed more support.

But what really changed everything was doing a micronutrient blood test.

A certified phlebotomist actually came directly to my home, which made the whole process really easy.

Within about a week, I had my results and honestly, I wasn’t expecting what I saw.

Why Some of My Vitamin Levels Were Too High (Not Deficient)

I always assumed I might be deficient in things…

But instead, some of my levels were actually out of range on the high side, including:

  • Folate (B9)
  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin B7 (Biotin)
  • Vitamin B12

Which made me realize something really important:

  •  I was over-supplementing without knowing it

And that can be just as important as being deficient.

So instead of continuing to take everything, I started pulling back and adjusting based on real data.

How Testing Changed My Approach to Supplements

This was the shift for me:

  •  not guessing
  •  not taking everything “just in case”
  •  actually supporting what my body needs

It made my routine:

  • more intentional
  • more simplified
  • more effective

My Current Supplement Routine for Energy and Longevity

Once I understood what was going on, I started focusing on more targeted support instead of random supplements.

Using Personalized Supplements from 10X Health System

I’ve been using supplements from 10X Health System based on my genetic results and what my body actually needs

Instead of taking everything, this approach is more about:

  • filling in specific gaps
  • supporting how your body processes nutrients
  • avoiding unnecessary overload

I also started using their collagen peptides, which I’ve been really consistent with.

And this was another mindset shift for me…

Collagen isn’t just about skin.

It supports:

  • joints
  • bones
  • cartilage
  • connective tissue

Which becomes more important over time, especially if you’re dealing with things like back issues (which I am).

How I Support My Mitochondrial Health for Energy

Another product I’ve been using consistently is from Timeline Nutrition.

This focuses on something most people don’t think about:

These are basically the energy centers of your cells, they play a huge role in how your body functions and how you feel overall.

Timeline uses a compound called Urolithin A, which has been studied for its role in supporting mitochondrial function and cellular renewal.

In simple terms:

I’ve been taking their gummies for about 6 months now, and it’s one of those things that’s easy to stay consistent with.

How Mitochondrial Health Connects to Skin Health

What’s really interesting is that Timeline also applies this same science to skincare.

Instead of just focusing on surface-level results, their skincare supports your skin at a cellular level.

Which honestly makes a lot of sense.

Healthy skin isn’t just about what you put on top…

it’s about what’s happening underneath.

What Actually Made the Biggest Difference for Me

I didn’t completely overhaul everything.

I just became more intentional.

  • I stopped taking things I didn’t need
  • I focused on what my body actually responds to
  • I built habits I could stick with

And that’s really the difference.

Final Thoughts on Personalized Health and Supplements

This isn’t about doing everything perfectly.

It’s about understanding your body a little better and making adjustments that actually make sense.

For me, the biggest takeaway was this:

  •  more isn’t always better
  •  better is better
