Automower comes with boundary and guide wires which you can install yourself but you can also get professional installation if you have a challenging yard. I have one of those challenging yards since my driveway cuts the front yard in half and I also have a fenced back yard.

So in cases like this Automower allows you to have a Secondary Area. You simply turn it off change the setting to Secondary Area, carry it to your second area, turn it on and viola it will cut the grass there as well.

The boundary wires will allow Automower to go around flower beds, trees and any other obstacles you may have. The guide wires will help it get across the driveway too. So even if you have a complicated area to mow, Automower can surely do it.

So I know you are wondering how is it you can have Jeeves running around your lawn while you are not home and how come you are not worried about it being stolen?


Well, Husqvarna has really made an effort to prevent the Automower from not only being stolen but not being able to use it if it is stolen as well. It has an advanced anti theft system. If my precious Jeeves is stolen, I can notify Husqvarna and they will ‘redlist’ my specific mower so no dealership will be able to service it or offer replacement parts.

Each Automower allows you to create a PIN code that you set when you first turn it on. The PIN code is needed to start the mower and make any changes in the settings.

If the Automower is taken out of the boundary areas an alarm will sound and the tracking information will be sent to you of its position. Another anti theft benefit is the Automower will not work with another charging station. Husqvarna has really taken a lot of measures to prevent somebody from simply walking away with my buddy Jeeves! I also love the sticker that is included to alert anybody that stealing it will only lead you right to it.


I am still awaiting installation of the boundary wires but I cannot wait to put Jeeves to work!

Husqvarna gave me this Automower to try and for the first time I can’t wait for mowing season to begin!

I named this guy ‘Jeeves’ for now. I have to say I am impressed with all the features it has! It works by using a boundary wire which was supposed to be installed but has been postponed due to coronavirus in my state. So in the meantime I am going to get to know the different features it has:

  • Automower Connect – you can use your smartphone to start and park your mower.
  • GPS enabled system creates a map of the garden, including where the boundary and guide wires are installed. Husqvarna Automower will then register which parts of the garden it has covered and adjusts its mowing pattern accordingly.
