DIY Blinged-Out Makeup Brushes: Sparkle Up Your Beauty Routine

Recently, I got a new makeup brush holder that looked amazing, and it got me thinking—why not take it up a notch? I thought, wouldn’t it look fabulous to have blinged-out makeup brushes that shine just as bright? So, I decided to give my old brushes a makeover and turn them into dazzling, sparkly beauties!
If you’re looking to add some glamour to your makeup routine, here’s how I transformed my old brushes into show-stopping, blinged-out tools that look expensive without breaking the bank.
Why Blinged-Out Makeup Brushes?
Well, frankly, why not!! Makeup brushes are essential tools in our beauty arsenal, but they don’t always look as glamorous as the products we apply with them. Blinging out your brushes not only adds a touch of luxury to your vanity, but it also makes your everyday routine more fun and personalized. Plus, it’s a great way to breathe new life into old brushes that might be looking a little dull or worn out.
What You’ll Need
Transforming your brushes into sparkly masterpieces doesn’t require much, but it does take a bit of time and patience. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
– Rhinestones: I spent $6 on rhinestones, which was more than enough to cover my brushes. You can choose any color or size that suits your style.
– Gorilla Clear Grip Waterproof Adhesive: I spent $5 on glue that works well with both plastic and metal surfaces. It’s important to choose a glue that will hold the rhinestones securely.
– Makeup Brushes: You can use any brushes you have on hand. I chose to spruce up some older brushes that were still in good condition but needed a little extra flair.
– Diamond Painting Pen (or Tweezers ): I had a diamond painting pen laying around (yes, I like to diamond paint and paint by numbers also) so I used that it worked well. It helps you place the rhinestones more precisely, especially if you’re working with smaller crystals.
The Process: A Labor of Love
While the materials were inexpensive, the biggest investment for this project was my time. Blinging out these brushes was time-consuming, but let me tell you—it was sooo worth it! Here’s how I did it:
1. Prepare Your Brushes: Start by cleaning your brushes thoroughly to remove any makeup residue. Make sure they’re completely dry before you begin.
2. Apply the Glue: Apply a small amount of glue to the area where you want to place the rhinestones. I found that working in small sections helped keep the glue from drying too quickly.
3. Add the Rhinestones: Using the diamond pen, carefully place each rhinestone onto the glued area. Press down gently to ensure it sticks well.
4. Repeat and Relax: Continue applying glue and rhinestones until you’ve covered the desired area. This process can take some time, but it’s incredibly satisfying to watch your brushes transform with each sparkling addition.
5. Let Them Dry: Once you’ve finished, let the brushes dry completely before using them. This ensures the rhinestones stay in place and don’t come off during use.
The Finished Product: A Sparkling Success!
After spending some quality DIY time, my brushes turned out amazing! The rhinestones added a luxurious sparkle that makes them look like high-end, expensive tools. I’m so thrilled with the results that I’m already planning to do more brushes in different colors.

So excited to get my new Samsung Dishwasher! Free installation and free removal of old machine! The delivery people woke me at 6:30am to tell me they would be there around 8-8:30am so i was a little surprised by the early phone call. The dishwasher was installed in about an hour. I love the sleek design of this dishwasher. The buttons are hidden on the top so you can’t even see them at first. It is so quiet you don’t even hear it. It has 4 different cycles: auto, normal, heavy and express 60. It has 3 options: hi-temp steam wash, sanitize and heated dry. There are 3 delay start options as well: 3 hr, 6 hr and 9 hr. You can fit a 12 piece setting including utensils in this dishwasher! It cleans pots and pans with baked on stuff very well and cleans glass without spots. I’m so excited that I don’t have to wash my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher anymore!

I love this printer. The setup out of the box took a total of 15 minutes. The printer’s touchscreen walks you through the setup process to make it very easy. I am ecstatic to finally be able to print from my iphone. This printer has a lot of amazing features. It prints 2 sided copes. It will also scan a 2 sided document as well. It has fax features but I won’t be using that. It has a passport photo option. The printer has it’s own email address that you can print to from anywhere. The HP Smart app is great too, it has the same features that the printer does. The color quality is very good and photos come out looking great.
